As he taught me to experience music as a full body experience, it is my grade seven music teacher who most assuredly made the motto ‘live life in crescendo’ so resonate with me. I only recently discovered that Stephen Covey embraced this motto. He stressed that for him living life in crescendo meant that life is a journey with always so much more to do, to learn, and to contribute.

But, as I explain in my first post, for me, life is a ballad.

Besides sharing personal life glimpses, I review books, movies, blogs, people and media that inspires the intention of this motto- that we live life vibrantly as we age into life’s final resounding crescendo.

Feel free to forward suggestions of media to review that delivers this blog’s motto.

  1. I love your motto and the header image that goes along with it. A life well lived is certainly one that is full of enjoyment, zest, curiosity, honesty, courage, and love. My quest is for Beauty… looking for Beauty with gusto 🙂

  2. Pardon the pun, but living life in crescendo really resonates with me. I hadn`t heard that expression before, though I am a big Stephen Covey fan. Gotta follow your blog now. I want to read more about this!

  3. Thank you for this topic. I just started a blog, livinglydying, describing find that gusto when diagnosed with a terminal illnesses. It is a challenge to find that balance between living well while walking towards more imminent death especially when you are younger and also undergoing constant treatment. We need more models for living fully despite the obvious burdens of life.
